We also advise clients on all tax issues arising in connection with a change in shareholders, reorganization\/restructuring measures, or liquidation. Plans to reorganize\/restructure businesses or corporate groups generally require a detailed analysis and planning of the tax consequences as well as a search for tax-optimized restructuring options. In doing so, we not only focus on what is legally possible, but also keep in mind what makes economical sense for our clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In the event of tax audits, tax appeals, or tax court proceedings, we represent the interests of our clients both in administrative proceedings before tax offices, cities and municipalities, as well as before German and European courts. We also represent clients in mutual agreement and arbitration proceedings, which are designed to coordinate the tax treatment between German and foreign tax authorities in cross-border matters.
