In addition, Naughty Nuts intends to expand into other markets outside the German-speaking region.<\/p>\n<p>Benjamin Porten, who founded the Cologne-based company together with Lorenz Greiner in January 2021, says about the investment: &#8220;With Bitburger Ventures and FoodLabs, we are bringing on board two renowned partners with broad know-how and strong portfolios in the areas of DTC, food and retail. In addition to our existing partner D\u00f6hler Ventures, we are thus creating a complementary group of shareholders that will support us enormously in the upcoming growth phase. We are looking forward to our joint journey and close cooperation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The food startup focuses on nuts as a superfood. Naughty Nuts uses only 100% natural ingredients with transparent origins for its nut puree and avoids refined sugar, palm oil and other additives. All varieties are vegan. The products are sold via the company&#8217;s own online store at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naughtynuts.de\">www.naughtynuts.de<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Within a short period of time, Naughty Nuts has managed to build a significant footprint with a very interactive and young direct-to-consumer brand, innovative products and tailored online communication. We see Naughty Nuts as an attractive long-term alternative for consumers to consume less meat while eating a higher protein and healthier diet, and classify the trend towards increased veganism as sustainable.
