In this extension round, AMSilk succeeded in raising additional funds in the amount of EUR 25 million, bringing the total volume of the Series C Round to EUR 54 million. In addition to AT Newtec GmbH, Novo Holdings, Cargill and MIG Capital also participated in the extension round.<\/p>\n<p>The financing will enable AMSilk to accelerate further expansion of its industrialization and commercialization projects worldwide to meet the ever-increasing demand for the company&#8217;s innovative biotech materials.<\/p>\n<p>AMSilk is the world&#8217;s first industrial supplier of vegan silk proteins and is based in Neuried\/Munich. It produces biotechnological materials using plant-based structural proteins. Through a patented biotechnological process, AMSilk transforms artificial proteins into sprayable formulations, hydrogels and silk powders for further processing into textiles, medical applications or for applications in the consumer goods sector.
