Johanna Schöbener

After passing my second state bar exam, I initially worked in the transactions department at a large law firm. My time there quickly made it clear to me that neither the structure of my tasks nor the work environment met my expectations: I often found myself completing individual tasks without understanding the broader context, and direct contact with clients was rare. It soon became clear to me that I wanted to be fully involved in client work from day one and to actively collaborate with clients.

The move to honert opened up exactly these opportunities for me. From the very beginning, I was fully integrated into client work. The close contact is not only professionally stimulating but also personally enriching. I find it particularly appealing that at honert we primarily advise medium-sized companies and entrepreneurs: This involves a wide range of legal topics and opens up plenty of room for my own ideas and areas of focus.

What I particularly like about honert are the flexible and comfortable working hours. At honert, the focus is on getting the tasks done that really need to be done—not simply on being present for as long as possible. This gives me the freedom to organize my work independently and efficiently and ensures that there’s still plenty of time for leisure and personal interests outside of work.

I haven’t regretted my decision to join honert for a single day. If you want to work in a versatile legal role, take on responsibility independently, and value a pleasant, collaborative work environment, you’ll be in excellent hands at honert.
