My first contact with honert was during an internship. And the positive experiences I had during those weeks have been confirmed time and again ever since. I now work as a student research assistant for the Hamburg-based firm honert alongside my law studies, and I can highly recommend the firm.

From day one, I gained deep insights into client work, the day-to-day routines of the attorneys, and the underlying legal issues. Through this work, I’ve gained diverse insights into corporate law and honert’s other areas of practice, and I’ve particularly enjoyed the intersections between different areas of law.

The tasks are as varied as they are challenging. The partners and attorneys treat me with a high degree of trust, which encourages initiative and entrusts me with responsibility. At the same time, I’m never left to handle tasks on my own. At honert, the technical and client-related background is always explained so that I can contextualize and understand the broader scope of the issue. As a result, the professional and personal learning opportunities are correspondingly rich.

In addition to the substantive work, honert stands out above all for two aspects: above-average flexibility and a strong team spirit. The fact that I’m still a student and therefore need to adjust my work schedule to accommodate semesters and exam periods is handled with understanding and a focus on finding solutions. I’d also like to especially highlight the team spirit at honert. From the very beginning—regardless of your position—you’re brought into the fold. Through shared lunches, professional lunch meetings, company outings, Christmas parties, and summer festivals, I’ve gotten to know team members across all locations even outside the work environment.

My conclusion: Since my first internship, honert has impressed me with its varied, educational tasks and a strong sense of team spirit.
