A team from honert provided Equans with comprehensive legal and tax advice on the purchase of Zimmermann GmbH.
Equans offers tailor-made solutions in the fields of building technology (HVAC), sustainable energy contracting, refrigeration technology, fire protection, and facility management, among others, with a clear focus on highly specialized applications. As a subsidiary of the French Bouygues Group, Equans is one of the world’s leading energy and services companies, with around 90,000 employees in 20 countries.
Zimmermann GmbH, based in Lower Saxony, has been a leading specialist in industrial and commercial refrigeration for almost 30 years. With around 130 employees and six locations – including its own production facility – the company develops customized and sustainable solutions for customers in industry, trade, and commerce. Its services range from planning, manufacturing, and installation to the maintenance of complex refrigeration systems and heat pumps.
The merger strengthens Equans’ position in the promising market for energy-efficient refrigeration technology and heat pump solutions in Germany. As one of the leading providers of refrigeration technology, building services engineering, and energy contracting, the company is consistently expanding its presence in one of Europe’s most dynamic markets with this strategic acquisition.
