A team from honert provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to the shareholders of AKRA TEAM GmbH regarding the sale of company shares to the ai6 Solutions Group.
AKRA TEAM was founded in 2021 by Dr. Bassil Akra and specializes in advising manufacturers in the regulated healthcare market. Its key areas of expertise include medical devices, Annex XVI products, in vitro diagnostic (IVD) devices, and combination products. The company possesses particular expertise in complex regulatory and clinical issues, as well as in matters related to highly regulated medical devices. In addition to its headquarters in Landsberg am Lech and other offices in Munich and Berlin, AKRA TEAM has an international presence. The company also operates in the U.S., with an office in New York City, as well as in Canada, France, Ireland, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
ai6 Solutions develops and manufactures complex medical devices on behalf of its clients and supports them through the regulatory approval process. The company has thus become one of the leading international service providers in the medical technology sector. Its range of services covers the entire product lifecycle, extending from consulting, development, and industrialization through production to lifecycle management.
The acquisition is intended to combine the strengths of both companies and further develop them together. AKRA TEAM will continue to operate as an independent company under its established name and with its existing team. Its technical expertise, long-standing customer relationships, and corporate culture will be preserved and will form the foundation for further development within the ai6 Group.
