honert has advised Klinge Pharma GmbH on the acquisition of various brands (in particular Physiogel) and has also been in charge of the contractual negotiation as well as the coordination within the different jurisdictions.

Physiogel, a brand previously distributed by GSK, comprises a range of perfume and dye free skin care products particularly suited for dry, sensitive and irritated skin. With this acquisition, Klinge Pharma expands its OTC assortment.

In future, the Holzkirchen-based and mainly known for its gastrointestinal preparations Klinge Pharma will distribute Physiogel’s dermatology products in Germany, Austria and France. Aristo GmbH will market the products in Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Portugal and Italy, whereas Megalabs will be in charge of distributing the product line in various Latin American countries.

The transaction is still subject to approval by the competition authorities.
