honert advised Fröhlich Holding GmbH & Co. KG on the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary Fröhlich International Investment GmbH and its subsidiary Froehlich Plastics Precision Production (Taicang) Co. Ltd. with a production plant in Taicang/China to TKW Molding GmbH. On the seller side, the M&A process was accompanied by MP Corporate Finance GmbH based in Vienna.

Fröhlich International Investment GmbH was previously part of the FRÖHLICH PLASTICS GROUP, a global family-owned company with more than 50 years of experience in plastics processing as well as tool and fixture manufacturing with facilities in Lower Saxony, Thu-ringia, the Czech Republic and the People’s Republic of China. Through its subsidiary Froehlich Plastics Precision Production (Taicang) Co. Ltd. with a production plant in Tai-cang/China, Fröhlich International Investment GmbH mainly supplies customers from the automotive sector. Initially founded purely as a site for the production of brake fluid reser-voirs for the Chinese market, the plant in Taicang has recently been expanded to include the manufacture of technical products made of polyamide (PA) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT).

TKW Molding GmbH is a plastics processing company based in Blankenhain in central Thu-ringia with business divisions in the automotive and consumer sectors. Through the acquisi-tion of Fröhlich International Investment GmbH, TKW Molding GmbH now acquires the Chinese production site of the FRÖHLICH PLASTICS Group.

Since 2018, TKW Molding GmbH has been part of the Austrian HENN Industrial Group, a globally active automotive supplier headquartered in Dornbirn, Austria.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.
