honert has advised, under the direction of Dr. Jochen Neumayer and Prof. Dr. Thomas Grädler (both partners), Willy Bogner GmbH & Co. KGaA (BOGNER) on its large-scale market entry in China.

As of 1 December, BOGNER has entered into a joint venture agreement with Bosideng International Fashion Limited. Bosideng International Fashion Limited is a subsidiary of Bosideng International Holdings Limited, a leading Chinese group of companies in the apparel industry and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

With this expansion in the Chinese market, BOGNER is reaching an important milestone in its international growth strategy. Within five years, the company plans to establish an extensive digital presence and around 80 retail stores in China, including stores in well-known luxury malls such as Plaza 66 in Shanghai and SKP and WF Central in Beijing.

Together with Bosideng as a strong partner, BOGNER wants to establish its brands BOGNER and FIRE+ICE as a leading supplier of exclusive sports fashion, luxury sportswear and designer fashion. BOGNER expects the demand for Athluxury Sports Fashion in China to increase at an above-average rate, further driven by the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
