Ayala Corporation’s wholly owned subsidiary AC Industrial Technology Holdings Inc. (AC Industrials) has sold its entire stake in German automotive parts manufacturer MT Technologies GmbH.

It said the deal is part of the group’s overall plan to generate $1 billion and recycle capital from the sale of non-core assets and participation in joint venture partnerships.

Ayala will focus more on continuing to grow its core businesses in real estate, banking, digital solutions, telecommunications and energy, and expand its emerging businesses in healthcare and logistics.

The buyer, a company advised by Callista Private Equity GmbH, specializes in the acquisition of industrial companies with development potential. It will continue the restructuring path already started and support with turnaround expertise.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.
