honert provided legal advice to the CERTANIA Group on the acquisition of fiatec Filter & Aerosol Technologie GmbH.

fiatec is a world-renowned specialist in aerosol filter testing. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of tests for this purpose – starting with the smallest filters, such as those in pipette tips, and extending to tests of gas turbine filter units, room air cleaners, automotive cabin air filters or kitchen extractor hoods. These services represent the main business of the company. Among other things, particle separation rates, absorption performance or physical material properties are tested here. Thanks to its comprehensive range of tests, fiatec appeals to a broad spectrum of customers. This ranges from the automotive industry to so-called clean room technology and the testing of everyday appliances. The steadily growing number of clients is testimony to the quality of the analyses completed at fiatec.
In addition to testing filters, fiatec is also involved in the marketing of testing-related products. Since 2015, the company has held the Europe-wide distribution rights for ISO 12103-1 test dusts and other such products from the American manufacturer PTI (Powder Technology, Inc.).

Both sides have agreed not to disclose details of the transactions.
