A team from honert led by Dr. Jan-Christian Heins and Julian Bahnsen advised Zive GmbH on its EUR 2.9m pre-seed financing round.

The Hamburg-based start-up company develops a reliable AI platform for its customers that draws on the company’s entire knowledge base. This allows its customers’ employees to benefit from state-of-the-art AI technology and find exactly what they need, when they need it.

The investors raised EUR 2,9 million as part of the financing round. With the fresh capital, the company wants to bring order to the chaos of knowledge. Zive’s press release on the financing round states: “80% of all knowledge is unstructured and scattered throughout the workplace – it’s chaos. Existing knowledge management tools rely on simple database search solutions and the tedious manual preparation of content scattered across a growing digital workplace. Today, office workers use an average of eleven different business apps per day, up from just six in 2019. It is estimated that they lose 1.8 hours a day searching and gathering information. Early attempts to apply large language models (LLMs) to the problem have shown unsatisfactory results and raised security and compliance issues.”
