A team from honert consisting of Dr. Kai-Klemens Wehlage and Bastian Hosp has provided comprehensive legal advice to UniteLabs GmbH on its pre-seed financing round.

The Munich-based company is a start-up specializing in the field of laboratory automatization. UniteLabs aims to accelerate biotechnological research through the intelligent connection of laboratory equipment by opening up previously closed interfaces through standardization and cloud compatibility. This significantly simplifies device control while ensuring real-time data access. The company’s platform is thus set to take a decisive step towards complete laboratory automation and AI integration – with the aim of advancing pharmaceutical research and biotechnological innovation.

The financing round was led by the investor NAP (formerly Cavalry Ventures), accompanied by the investors PUSH, Acurio Ventures, OMA Business Angels and LANA Ventures.

Currently, around 90% of laboratory equipment comes from different manufacturers, which leads to considerable compatibility and connectivity problems as well as increased time expenditure. UniteLabs offers the industry’s first manufacturer-independent connectivity solution that enables seamless data acquisition, control and monitoring across all laboratory devices – regardless of the specific application.

With the raised capital, the startup will intensify its efforts to set the global standard for laboratory automation and make cutting-edge biotech research faster, smarter and more connected than ever before.
