honert has advised KÄMMERER Group on the sale of its insulation and semi-conductive paper business to Ahlstrom-Munksjö AB, Jönköping, Sweden.

KÄMMERER Group is a leading manufacturer of specialty papers and an expert in pre-impregnated decorative, abrasive and electrical papers, as well as paper and non-woven backings for various wallpaper applications and poster papers, based in Osnabrück, Germany. Kämmerer supplies customers worldwide and employs around 400 people at its Osnabrück site. Ahlstrom-Munksjö AB is a company of the Ahlstrom-Munksjö Group headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, a global leader in fiber-based materials offering innovative and sustainable solutions to its customers.

Through the sale, KÄMMERER intends to focus on its core competence in the development, production and distribution of decor and sanding papers as well as paper and non-woven substrates for various wallpaper applications and poster papers. Through the transaction, Ahlstrom-Munksjö expands its range of electro-technical papers in the field of semiconductor papers and intends to further improve its customer service and know-how in this area.
