Dr. Jürgen Honert and Peter Kipp from honert have advised the management of Sill Optics GmbH & Co. KG in Wendelstein, consisting of the previously invested CEO Christoph Sieber and the CFO Benjamin Sauter, with comprehensive tax and legal advice on a co-investment and re-investment, respectively, in Sill Optics following its acquisition by funds advised by Deutsche Private Equity.

Sill Optics is a leading manufacturer of optical components used in laser processing, additive manufacturing, medical technology and accompanying chip manufacturing processes. Sill Optics’ field of activity also includes the production of modules for optical quality control or special microscopy optics. Sill Optics acts as a reliable and customer-oriented partner for well-known original equipment manufacturers for the entire product life cycle, from customer-specific development to the manufacture of prototypes and serial production.

The development and production of precision optics takes place at the Wendelstein site with around 250 employees. The company was acquired by PINOVA Capital in 2019 and has been successfully developed ever since.
