The UHB Group is taking another step towards strengthening its market-leading position in the German healthcare software segment with the acquisition of palliative software provider Smart-Q. The merger will enable the recent developments of both companies to be further accelerated and provide both UHB and Smart-Q customers with a broader and more comprehensive range of healthcare software solutions.

Both sides have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction.

The UHB Group is a provider of innovative, process-oriented and individual software solutions for the healthcare sector based in St. Wolfgang near Munich. More than 800 facilities rely on the products and many years of experience of the UHB Group in the healthcare sector. The software solutions offered stand for efficiency, user-friendliness and a wide range of application possibilities. Since 1998, UHB has been solving challenging processes together with customers and tailoring the solutions offered to their individual needs.

Founded in 2010, Smart-Q GmbH is a software provider specialising in medical documentation systems. The company serves more than 550 clients in the healthcare sector and offers a specialised patient documentation platform (the ISPC software), which is the ideal solution for many AAPV and SAPV teams, hospice staff and hospitals in Germany and facilitates the daily work in palliative documentation.
