Looking for an exciting and challenging insight into the legal profession, I found what I was looking for at honert.

At the beginning of the traineeship, a lawyer was assigned to me as the responsible trainer and permanent contact person, whom I could always turn to for organizational or professional questions. I was briefed by a fellow trainee lawyer and a research assistant, who were able to teach me the essential working methods of the firm quickly and easily.

Over the course of time, I worked with many different attorneys and partners. This created variety and allowed me to gain insights into the different practice areas of the firm. I was also involved in the daily work of the attorneys. I was allowed to participate in meetings with clients and had the opportunity to present my work results to the clients.

In addition to a regular exam and study group day, flexible arrangements made it possible to combine exam preparation with station training without any problems.

I found the personal interaction within the entire honert team particularly nice. As a trainee lawyer, I was involved in all of the firm’s events and quickly had the feeling that I was part of the team. Particularly noteworthy for me were the company outing and the weekly Mittagstisch, a company lunch during which the partners of honert explain current topics regarding contract structures and discuss them with the entire team. At the company outing, I had the chance to get to know the entire honert team outside of the office and in person. At the weekly Mittagstisch, I was able to gain interesting insights into the various options for drafting contracts.

My conclusion: honert offers exciting and challenging tasks in the area of M&A/corporate law and is additionally characterized by a very nice working environment.
