honert provided legal advice to the Flensburg-based shipping company FRS on the acquisitions of Rheinfähre Maul GmbH and of Loreley GmbH & Co. KG.

With the acquisitions FRS is expanding its presence to the Middle Rhine and thereby strengthening its position as a leading provider of ferry services. The acquisitions underline FRS’s ambition to continue its growth strategy.

Both, Loreley GmbH & Co. KG and Rheinfähre Maul GmbH have been family owned and operated businesses for decades, in case of Loreley GmbH & Co. KG even centuries. The Flensburg-based FRS group has developed from a regional passenger ship operator into an international group of companies with more than 1,500 employees and 70 ships in over 150 years.

All three parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transactions.
