A team from honert advised the CERTANIA Group on the acquisition of ICP Analtyik GmbH & Co. KG.

CERTANIA Group, headquartered in Munich, is a leading global provider in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) sector. The Group offers testing, inspection, certification and consulting services for companies operating in regulated and quality critical markets. Within the TIC industry, CERTANIA focuses on five business areas: Life Sciences, Food & Consumer Goods, Industrials, Buildings & Infrastructure, and Certification & Compliance. This enables CERTANIA to cover key sectors in which safety, quality and compliance are critical. With this transaction, CERTANIA continues its international expansion strategy and strengthens its position as a growing global TIC player.

ICP is an accredited analytical laboratory based in Preetz, Schleswig-Holstein. For over 25 years, the company has been providing analytical services to regional and national clients – ranging from private well owners to large industrial customers. Its core business comprises sampling and analysis in accordance with the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance (Trinkwasserverordnung), with a focus on Legionella testing. In addition, ICP also has many years of experience in the fields of cooling water as well as swimming and bathing water analysis, and stands by its customers as a reliable partner.

Both parties have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction.
