honert advises DEUBIS Group on the acquisition of ENEXIO Service division
PRESS RELEASE
Munich, 2 November 2021
honert provided legal advice to the DEUBIS Group on the acquisition of the ENEXIO Service division, consisting of ENEXIO Service GmbH and ENEXIO Italy S.r.l., from the Kelvion Group.
The ENEXIO Service division operates in the field of plant construction and service and offers its customers, primarily in the regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a comprehensive range of services for all aspects of industrial cooling technology, from project planning and new construction to inspection, maintenance and dismantling. ENEXIO Service focuses on cooling towers of all types and sizes. ENEXIO Service employs around 80 people at its headquarters in Bochum and its branches in Leipzig and Mornago (province of Varese, Italy).
The DEUBIS Group is market leader in the field of repair of concrete structures and corrosion and fire protection for steel structures with over 115 years of experience and more than 38,000 successfully completed projects. The DEUBIS Group is a portfolio company of the Munich-based growth investor Deutsche Private Equity (DPE), which focuses on medium-sized companies. The goal of the DEUBIS Group and DPE is to become the market leader in the highly fragmented building maintenance industry through organic growth, acquisitions and partnerships. Since DPE’s investment in DEUBIS Group in 2019, sales grew from approximately EUR 55 million to nearly EUR 110 million in the current fiscal year. With the acquisition of ENEXIO Service, the DEUBIS Group expands its service portfolio and know-how in the field of servicing existing wet and dry cooling towers as well as new construction of wet cooling towers.
Heiner Stahl, CEO of the DEUBIS Group: “We are very proud that we can continue to implement our growth strategy so consistently. With ENEXIO Service, a company joins the group that ideally strengthens our cooling tower division and once again expands our internal know-how.” Mark Suderow, Partner at DPE, adds: “This strategic strengthening brings the entire group forward once again enormously. DEUBIS is now the clear independent market leader for complex building maintenance, from which all parts of the company benefit. However, the journey is certainly not over yet and so we look forward to further discussions with entrepreneurs from the industry.”
Both parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.
