PRESS RELEASE
Munich, 12 November 2021
A team of honert led by Prof. Dr. Thomas Grädler (Partner) and Dr. Kai-Klemens Wehlage (Senior Associate) provided comprehensive legal advice to techreach GmbH in a single-digit million seed financing.
The tech company anybill has received seed funding of euros 1.9 million – with High-Tech Founder’s Fonds and Ilavska Vuillermoz Capital on board, as well as other business angels, including the founders of PAYONE Jan Kanieß and Carl Frederic Zitscher. Primarily, the funding is to be used for the expansion of the acceptance infrastructure and further product development.
anybill‘s goal is to provide a digital receipt for every payment – in merchant apps, banking and payment apps, or without an app – where tomorrow’s consumers expect receipts. For comprehensive technical coverage, anybill relies on POS integrations and has already acquired more than 35 POS partners in recent months. With the flexible and scalable API services, retailers of any size and industry have the opportunity to issue digital receipts. anybill acts as a technical enabler and enables digital receipts to be used as an embedded service in third-party applications such as banking or retailer apps via SDK modules. In addition to numerous POS software integrations, the company has won its first major paying customers as well as SMEs and banks.
Lea Frank is the co-founder and CEO of anybill and believes that: “With the support in know-how and the right network gained from the financing round, we are a decisive step closer to our goal as an enabler for the issuance, acceptance and further processing of digital shopping receipts. We are adding an additional layer on top of the existing payment infrastructure to enrich transactions with purchasing information. Through our POS ecosystem on the one hand and our partner network on the other, we bring both worlds together and thus offer a unique technical basis. We enable real value-added services around payment and can make a significant contribution to enabling complete automation around digital receipt management in the future.”
